Foundation preservation and treatment of roofs

Climate change and changing weather conditions accelerate the process of wear and tear on foundations and roofs, for example. Moisture problems comprise the largest damage images, therefore waterproofing foundations and roofs is of great importance. Timely maintenance of foundations and roofs are necessary to prevent (further) damage. A foundation serves as the base of the total building structure, where damages can have major consequences to the entire foundation structure. In addition, timely maintenance will extend the life of the treated surface. Foundation problems can be prevented by regular maintenance, by using the right products, the use of a bitumen emulsion is extremely suitable for this. The use of a bituminous maintenance measure is to recommended way to extend the life of foundations or roofs.

Why foundation preservation and treatment of roofs?

It is well known that moisture is the biggest culprit regarding problems with foundations and roofs. Waterproofing foundations using a bituminous product guarantees optimal waterproofing. Bitumen emulsions are easy to apply and adhere excellently to the surface, waterproofing the structure.  Generally, flat roofs are covered with bitumen roofing, for the purpose of optimum insulation. In addition, bitumen roofing guarantees optimal waterproofing. Orphan influences such as UV rays from sunlight damage bitumen roofing over time. Regular roofing maintenance is necessary for longer life and long-term waterproofing. Through the right bitumen emulsion, roofs are restored to their original condition and renewal is not necessary. 

Bitumen emulsions for preservation and treatment of roofs

Latexfalt produces various bitumen emulsions suitable for the construction industry. The bitumen emulsions serve as a maintenance measure for treatment of roofs, foundations, concrete decks, basements, dumps and balconies. The Latexfalt bituminous emulsions have a life-extending effect on the treated surface. Latexfalt also supplies a sprayable bitumen emulsion, which is suitable for vertical surfaces, for example waterproofing roofs, roof outlets and skylights.

Elastofalt® EP

The Latexfalt Elastofalt EP is a modified bitumen emulsion in a pasty form. The product is used for waterproofing roofs, foundations, concrete decks, cellars, joints and balconies. The Elastofalt EP is easy to apply and dries on the relevant substrate.The Elastofalt EP contains a fairly high percentage of latex and thus a high UV resistance is achieved.

Elastofalt® DR

Latexfalt Elastofalt DR is an efficient way to extend the life of a worn roof or top layer. Elastofalt DR is used, among other things, as a waterproof layer for repairing and renovating roofs and in particular for roofs with many outlets. In addition it is used for waterproofing foundations, concrete decks, basements, joints and balconies. The emulsion is a highly viscous solvent-free rubber-modified bitumen coating. The Elastofalt DR is also suitable for use on aPP and SBS modified roofing membranes. Preferably it is used in two coats perpendicularly to each other.

Elastofalt® Spraykote 90

Elastofalt Spraykote 90 is an anionic polymer modified bitumen emulsion for waterproofing applications. Elastofalt Spraykote 90 is a two-component sprayable bitumen emulsion, which is applied at constructions where an immediate and permanent waterproofing is required. Elastofalt Spraykote 90 is applied on slope and vertical surfaces. It can be used for cellars, roofs, foundations.
